Orlando in spring 24- cannot see the woods for the trees

Hi
Shamelessly wanting to capitalise on the research others have done. We are lucky that park tickets and car rental is taken care of via kind relatives that work for Disney and are based in Orlando. That leaves me looking for a flight/accommodation offer. Not keen on staying in the parks, I also have a very tricky veggie daughter food wise so would need self catering. Anyone got a suggestion as at the moment I'm getting stuck in Tripadvisor/VRBO/Tui black hole 😬

Its a few years when we went but I found thedibb.co.uk website really good for information on all things Orlando

We've gone with a small villa with a pool. We found it on booking.com
Flights from Gatwick/Heathrow are really cheap with Norse Air.

Emerald Isle villas. Stayed in a villa in kissimee a number of times. Try and get south facing pool and a place with a pool house for non park day relaxing.

Have you considered doing a few days in universal first?

We found BA often do good flight/hotel packages but you fly from Gatwick or Heathrow ( you can include flights from your local airport in the journey ).

Sounds like the condo or apart hotel resorts will suit you best.
There’s plenty, too much choice really.

We’ve not been for 8 years now so these couple of places I’ll name just to get you started will probably seem old in comparison to more recently built places.

We’ve stayed at Tuscana Resort at Championsgate 10 mins south of the main Disney junction on the i4 and also at Floridays Resort at the southern ( quiet ) end of the International Drive.

Floridays is much handier for supermarkets and park location.

We booked directly with them in the past , they might be on Booking.com or Hotels.com as well now.

I'd second Emerald Island for a villa. We've been to Orlando loads and that has by far been our favourite location.

We flew with Norse to MCO most recently and they were very good but TUI to Melbourne and drive up to Orlando is very reasonably priced usually too.
