Family holidays with young teens

Searching in vain for somewhere within Europe for a sunshine type holiday with kids but with the caveat that one of our kids is a young teen and really needs something like a club for teens or similar wherever we're staying. We went to a hotel in Tenerife last year which has a teen lounge and it was a revelation, miles from a traditional young kids club but got them making friends and having fun. Where we chose this year had nothing like that and they were so much less likely to strike up a conversation or push to go and chat that it made me realise how important something like that is now for us.

Which has led me to find that it is almost impossible to hunt hotels like this out!

Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels that have a sort of teens club in places like Canaries/Balearics/Greek islands/Cyprus etc that doesn't cost the earth but suits a family of four? I know everything has gone up in price but would be willing to think about any board basis really as long as it's not over four grand for SC.

Ideas very much appreciated!

I think a feature of H10 hotels is to have a room for teens. There's a lot of them about around the world. Might be a good start. We were just in one across the Atlantic and it did.

Hi interested in the hotel you mentioned with a teen lounge OP?

holidsy villages are good as so many kids esp at the football pitches - my kids loved the Ibiza holiday village but my husband and I didn't!

I'm on the hunt too I've found lots of AI do this like Nielsen's, club med, Scott Dunn etc but also very water sports heavy and my teen likes a mix

Thanks for these, I think when the kids were younger we did the H10 and liked it so will look back at that.

The Tenerife one was Sunwing Fanabe Beach, hotel was great, but the pool area very small for the amount of guests so a bunfight for loungers. However the kids loved it and said the best holiday they had ever had. So we're after something a bit more suitable but with similar facilities really.

Would love to know about this type of place too especially where they do teens activity /disco? It’s easy to find resorts geared up for your children but harder to find things aimed at teenagers
