February - warm?

Hi everyone. After advice on where to go in February 2024 with a nearly 3 year old and 7 month old. We’d like it warm - any ideas? How are the canaries? We don’t want to be freezing cold but 30degrees not needed either! If anyone’s been somewhere they’d recommend it would be helpful. Somewhere great with kids and babies with the option of different boards?

Have been to Gran Canaria many times. Used to always be lovely in February. I'd still take a chance on it but with the understanding that the weather seems to have gone crazy worldwide over the last couple of years so nothing is guaranteed.

Gran Canaria is usually high teens in February, maybe up to low 20s. Although as PP says, the weather has gone bonkers recently so there’s no guarantees.

If you’re wanting a pool and sunbathing holiday, I’d probably book somewhere with a heated pool

I believe the Radisson Blu and the Cordial Mogan Playa in Mogan both have heated pools - but you’d want to check.

Both are family friendly hotels - but I’m not sure either have crèche / childcare for under 4s if that’s a consideration

Canaries are around 21 degrees in the winter. We've had beautiful sunshine at new year, but there is always the chance of it being cooler/rainy. Madeira is a little bit north and I think around 20 degrees in winter. If you want to stay in Europe though, they're your best bet for warm and sunny in Feb.

Is the Caribbean too far? We always go to Barbados in late Feb and the weather is around 28 degrees every day.

Madeira? Not hot but reliably warm all year round.
