Last year I came here asking for recommendations for a hotel for our first family holiday overseas. Well, the recommendation did not disappoint and we've just had the most amazing week at Iberostar Cala Barca in Majorca. We couldn't fault any of it. We made some fantastic memories and and the summer holiday bug has definitely been planted!

So, I'm now looking for next year and I'm after your recommendations again please. The wish list isn't too long... a good sized splash pool for kids aged 6 & 8. Not a huge water park where we'd have to constantly supervise them but big enough to keep kids that age entertained. I've attached a photo of what we had this year and it was perfect. Ideally 3/4 restaurants to dine in so we don't get bored of the same surroundings each meal time. All inclusive is a must. Ideally on a beach but not essential. Spain way would be great but would fly further for the right hotel.

Please share with me your fabulous recommendations again! Thanks so much.

Some hotels that come into mind:

Evenia Zoraida Garden, Roquetas de Mar, Costa de Almeira

Viva Cala Mesquida Resort, Cala Mesquida , Mallorca

Blau Punta Reina, Cala Mandia, Mallorca

Iberostar Playa de Muro, Playa de Muro, Mallorca (although the splash park might be a bit too tame)

Zafiro Palace Palmanova, Palma Nova, Mallorca

3HB Clube Humbria in Portugal or HD Parque Cristobal in Gran Canaria

This looks like a similar thing to what you're after!

Atlantica mare village hotel in Paphos in Cyprus
I'm sure they have a bigger water park too but this place is great!
Great food, 4/5 restaurants on top of the AI buffet
Defo worth a look!

So you want somewhere you can dump your young children and not have to parent them? HmmBiscuit

febbabies2023 · 15/08/2023 20:37

@AlfietheSchnauzer nope. That's what kids clubs are for :)

Can recommend Blau Punta Reina. Just came back from 10 nights . 4 and 6 year old.would 100% return.
Fantastic fantastic high quality evening entertainment, on the beach, 2 main pools, kids pool with splash area similar to shown, plus bigger slides (in separate area), plus quiet adult infinity pool. Food very good.staff fantastic. Loads to do but not tacky at all

@TheMindfulMum ignore the muppet that clearly doesn't have children! The holiday is for you too. I fully plan on shipping my two off for an afternoon / morning whilst we're away and they're much younger than yours!
