'Classy' Holiday Park?! Please recommend!

Something like CenterParcs without the price tag?!?

I'm looking for somewhere to go in the south of England or Wales. I have a 2 year old and a nervous rescue dog.

I'm trying to find somewhere that feels peaceful, quiet.. but still has lovely facilities like indoor swimming and soft play for the DD, maybe somewhere to eat on site..?

Happy with caravans as long as they're clean and can take a travel cot.

The dog gets stressed in very busy, loud environments and tbh my Pontins Sun Holidays as a child has made me want to avoid a certain type of park too...

The Waverley River Centre in Suffolk is nice

WunWun · 13/08/2023 21:55

Waveney! Not Waverley

MojoDojoCasaHouse · 13/08/2023 22:00

The Landal site in Cornwall Gwel an Mor might suit. We had a lodge with hot tub and sea views. I assume other Landals would be a similar standard. Hendra near Newquay is the nicest caravan park we’ve stayed at.

Mummyof287 · 13/08/2023 22:41

Chesil beach holiday park near Weymouth is nice, it's 5 star Park, immaculately clean and modern caravans ,lovely restaurant where kids eat free, soft play and swimming pool.

jputthekettleon · 13/08/2023 22:43

Ladram bay, East Devon

Mummyof287 · 13/08/2023 22:44

I would also recommend Hendra, as PP said, have been there twice and its fab!
Also, waveney river centre I haven't stayed at, as its 10 mins down the road from me 😆 but I know it has a swimming pool and a nice restaurant as I've eaten there recently!

cherryassam · 13/08/2023 22:57

I came on to suggest Landal Gwel an Mor too

AbsolutePlonker · 14/08/2023 07:56

Omg Mums thank you for these suggestions and so quickly!!!
I'll look these up today.
Every bloody influencer seems to be at CenterParcs every other weekend but the only dog cabins left were over £1000 Mon-Fri.
I'm just jealous 😹

I don't get the love for center parks? They just seem extortionate!

LunaLoveFood · 14/08/2023 09:27

Cofton holiday park at Dawlish Warren is lovely. We'll cared for new ish vans all replaced within the last 6 years, (we watched lots being delivered). They have also had lots of investment within the last few years.

somersaultinsand · 14/08/2023 09:38

Landal parks would also be my suggestion. Been to several in NL/BE, they are really nice and fit your description. Not been to any UK ones yet but heard they are similar quality.

It was really lovely here. I'm not opposed to Haven or Parkdean and have had fab holidays there but this was definitely more 'classy'. There was a lot of Boden and sugar free slush and the bar emptied at 8.30 after the kids disco😂

Gwel an mor is lovely (disclaimer we haven't been for a few years), beautifully clean, lovely lodges and facilities. The farm there is fantastic and portreath is a lovely beach too. When our children were really young we went 4/5 times.
