Amalfi Coast/Sorrento in May

Looking at going to the Amalfi Coast/Sorrento area mid May next year, as we would like to ho to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Vesuvius & Capri. Ideally we would like to intersperse this with relaxing days by the pool, but worried it might not be warm enough for this? Obviously don't want it to be too hot for the sightseeing days so trying to get the balance right!

Does anyone have any experience of the weather in May? If it makes a difference we would be potentially looking at staying higher up the hill near Sant Agata.

Thanks!😀

We went 23-30 May last year , the weather was perfect for the itinerary you’ve planned .
Hope you have a great time . 🍋

We went in May half term a couple of years ago, so very end of May, beginning of June and weather was perfect for swimming and sightseeing. Mid- May may be a bit cooler though. We've also been in early June a few times and again weather was warm but not too hot.

I've been in may and it was perfect for sightseeing but not warm enough for being round the pool. Evenings weee very cold. Maybe we fell on a cooler May but I remember having to buy warmer clothes.
The only hot day we had (typically) was when we visited pompeii. There is no shade there at all (kids were hired/queues were bad/ water cost the same price as a bottle of champagne ... well
Not quite but it was £££ 😂)

Thanks, I might try to push it by a week so it's nearer the end of May 😀
