2 bedroom apartment hotel rooms?

summerlovingvibes · 11/08/2023 16:51

This year we stayed at Seth Mestrel in St Tomas, Menorca. We had a 2 bedroom apartment within the hotel - so 2 bedrooms (1 en-suite), an open plan living / kitchen / dining area, and another bathroom.

I'd like the same set up but different location, and it seems impossible to google 2 bedroom hotels and get an easy list to work through!

Anyone have any suggestions?

Loads of places to eat within a 10 min walk. We even got a JustEat delivery on night. The staff cannot do enough. Rooms are cleaned daily. The attention to detail in the place is astounding.

It depends on your budget to some extent. You often need to look for places with family suites as they seem to be two bedrooms linked together in a hotel. We stayed at Hotel Meganisi last summer in two linked hotel rooms (one double one twin) with a shared bathroom which I loved but was fairly basic. I’m looking for next year and have found various places but struggling to decide where we want to stay!

I found this impossible to search for too OP as I want exactly the same thing. I want all inclusive, kids club etc and I don’t want to sleep in the same room as my child, nor on a sofa bed in the lounge. I don’t think I am unusual in this, yet it isn’t a search criteria you can use to narrow things down on tui, jet 2 etc. I just had to go through every listing and see if it had what I wanted. The ones that did tended to be hugely expensive.

They are often listed as “family room” rather than suite to differentiate from 1 bedroom suites.

I struggle with this too. 2 suggestions in Crete (we stayed very early season so I’m not sure what they’re like in high season!)

  1. Iberostar creta panorama & mare. One big room with a separate room with bunk beds.
  2. village heights. This was great - we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It could sleep up to 6 but this would mean 2 people sleeping in the sitting area. Sleeping 4 was very spacious - the upstairs en-suite bedroom was large with a large terrace off it, there was a good twin room, other bathroom and sitting area/kitchenette.

Jet2Holidays allow you to enter the number of people and the number of rooms in the search criteria.

TUI show you available room types once you've selected a holiday. So you can then choose a 2-bed if there's an option.

I think the GF Isabel in Tenerife has two beds but does all inclusive. But I echo looking on jet2 and using their search function even if you don’t book with them.

Not quite what you were asking for, but we are just back from here, and it was gorgeous www.hotelesdunas.com/en/hotel-dunas-suites-villas-resort/rooms/?_gl=116ke0oc_up*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjw29ymBhAKEiwAHJbJ8vEXepcI90jyKBmuPWbtBx-BM3Zn95TSImI1xmM9zz4VjHev8gwRjhoCuTMQAvD_BwE
We should have been here, but for the Rhodes fires www.lamarquise.gr/en/Family-Suite-Sea-View-870.htm

There are threads for 2-bedroom hotel rooms / suites

On a previous one I posted this:

Royal Son Bou, Menorca
Sentido Aequra Suites, Lanzarote
HD Parque Cristobal, Tenerife
Suites and Villas by Dunas, Gran Canaria
Holiday Village Aliathon, Paphos
Insotel Cala Mandia, Majorca
Tui Blue Ephesus, Izmir

They may have kitchens or not, I can’t remember.

Jet2 is the best place to search - you can trigger them showing you mostly 2 bedroom apartments/suites by increasing the number of guests - usually 3 adults and 3 kids does the trick

Rooms | Sentido Aequora Lanzarote Suites Resort

Sentido Aequora Lanzarote Suites resort has 398 rooms divided into 4 categories; Double rooms, Junior Suites, Suites and Master Suites. Fully equipped.

Most of the Tui blue and Tui magic life hotels have 2 bed apartments. We stayed at Tui magic life in Ibiza in June and the apartment was huge for the 4 of us (including one adult dc), the food was horrendous though so if you do go there budget enough to eat out a lot. GF Isabel in Tenerife is another good option as mentioned upthread. You could also look at a lot of the hotels in Side in Turkey, a lot have 2 bed rooms.

Thanks everyone for all the replies so far. Will be looking through them all tonight!

Agree with some other posts though that I don't think it should be this hard, and is probably fairly common that parents don't want to sleep in the same room as kids! Or have them on a sofa bed in the living area ... meaning we can't spend time in there in the evening whilst they are falling to sleep. Which also excludes the patio / kitchen area!

A few people earlier have asked about budget - minimal unfortunately. Probably up to about £3,000 for all of us - this years holiday for the 2 bed apartment was about 2,800.

And interestingly I've found a few hotels in Side, Turkey. And on their own website they say about their 2 bedroom places, but search for them on Jet2Holidays / Tui etc and there is no option available to even remotely suggest that! For example Barut B Suites own website has the description about their 2 bed places but no holiday searches come up with it.

Totally frustrating! But I'll plough through the suggestions - thanks x
