Last minute bargain break

Desperate for some sunshine, but bad back means no more than 3 hour flight from Manchester/Leeds.
2 adults 1 child (17) but hoping to pay no more than 1500-1700!
Is it doable? from 28/08-03/9 for a week. Prefer Jet2 or Tui ( not brave enough to book with loveholidays!
Recommendations gratefully received
Must haves: relatively flat, close to sandy ( not shingle beach)

Mallorca might fit the bill?

Easyjet flights from MAN on the 28th for 7 nights are around £725 with seats and bags.
A quick scan on hotels.com and a 1 bed apartment in Alcudia 3 mins walk from the beach is another £750. Easy taxi ride from the airport.

There's plenty of availability on the island, it depends how much you want around you though resort wise, there's definitely better value staying somewhere a bit quieter.

You're really looking at Spanish costa's and Balearics within that flight time plus good for flat and sandy beaches.
I've just put your requirements into the Jet2 search and there are a few still available plus you get a last minute discount.

Cambrils is lovely

I was going to say the same. A really lovely, quite traditional seaside town, very different to, for instance, nearby Salou.

We loved watching the fishing boats appear on the horizon each day, around 4.00 pm. Landing their catch really interesting.
