Can someone please help me! Can someone who works in the local council countersign a uk passport form?

Yes, as long as they know you and are happy to I'm 99% sure that will be accepted.

thankyou for ure reply! It’s not very clear on the website and I see they have changes the rules as to who can countersign. Now need to know u on a personal levrr

Do you definitely need a countersignature? Is it for a child under 12 or is it a lost or first passport?

Hi! It’s for a first adult passport and they have known me 17yrs. They work for the council so a wasn’t sure what that came under

Should be fine. They would no doubt count as a person of good standing in the community even if they are not on the list of professions
