Looking for advice on kid friendly hot holiday destinations! Embarrassed to say that my daughter is turning ten and we've never taken her abroad - and don't really know where to start! She's an only child so we need to find somewhere with a kids club, and self catering would be best as we have various food allergies. Anyone able to share recommendations of budget/mid range places in Spain/Canaries/Balearics? Thanking you in advance!

When are you looking to go? Gran Canaria and the canaries in general are good all year round. They do have lots of villas etc and self catering accommodation.
I’ve just booked for our first family holiday abroad. We chose Turkey in October! Excited and nervous.

France though - but Siblu La Carabasse. Brilliant for that age.

Playa Montroig has kids clubs, swimming pools with slides, a nearby beach, supermarket, bakery, bars and restaurants, bike hire, mini disco etc…

Cruise with a child friendly line, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity etc, they really cater for the children and she will have a better time than you.

What's your budget OP? The best holidays with my DD at kids club age were with Scott Dunn.

I'm a solo parent so needed a mix of together and relax time for me and some really fun activities for her. Their programme was the best I used in the 5-10 year old brackets. The properties were lovely too especially Pine Cliffs and Sun Gardens in Dubrovnik.

She's now 14 so trying to find something in Europe next summer that's good for teens that isn't all water sports! Been to the US last few years.

Oh and Pine Cliffs and Sun Gardens both have apartment options.

But just to say my DD and I are both epipen carriers and I've never had problems eating out anywhere on our travels. (Although the US is particularly anal Grin)

Hi there 👋
I'm a newbie, so hopefully im posting to correct place 🤞!

Just after some travel advice to anyone who may have visited C Mauritius Hotel and any recommendations on things to see/do. Is it a good hotel etc? Theres some other lovely ones but this is more in our budget. We are off for a week in November as well as a few nights in Dubai near the Marina, again any must do/see etc, travel advice.

So looking fwd to the break with my partner after a horrendously stressful few months at work.

Thanks for any help 😊

I'm not averse to France! Will look into it - thanks!

I'm so new to this that I don't even know how much a holiday for three people is likely to cost! So really just at the research stage. I'm thinking somewhere in the middle, as we don't need anything fancy in terms of accommodation (cleanliness is my only non-negotiable!)

Thanks for all your suggestions, everyone - has given me a great springboard for my research! 🙏

Whatever you do don't go for a TUI sensatori, bloody awful and it was the same price as Scott Dunn.

Forgot to say Pine Cliffs is Portuguese and Sun Gardens is In Croatia.
