October half term - Sardinia or Valencia?

Has anyone been to either at that time of year?

Been to Sardinia at that time of year but it was many years ago. We found it quite a seasonal place in that there weren't many tourists around and many cafes, bars etc had closed. It didn't affect us too much as we had full board in our hotel. Have been to Valencia in summer, and I imagine it will still be vibrant and buzzy in October.
