Uberlingen/Lake Constance suggestions

Me, DH and 3 DC ( 7/9/11) are off to the Black Forest at the weekend for 10 days. We're staying in an apartment in Uberlingen. Not been there or anywhere nearby before and not had time to research yet. Please could you make suggestions for family activities/things to see and places to go? Any particular towns or attractions? We're not big on water sports or hiking but maybe that will change. We'll have our car with us but don't want to drive for ages every day. Thanks!

Lindau is one of my favourite towns to spend a day in, although it’s probably over an hours drive from Uberlingen

We enjoyed visits to Meersburg Castle, and Ravensburger Spieland and swimming in the various Strandbad (lake swimming pools)

Its a lovely part of the world

Thank you so much, that's really helpful. Just the sort of info I was after Smile

Just back from not far from there. Be warned it is actually quite cool and damp, so make sure you have enough warm stuff.

Badeparadies (Titisee Neustädt) was a real hit. Ideal for a rainy day.

In the same town there is Action Forest high ropes course. You could do one in the morning one in the afternoon to make it worth the drive.

Uberlingen isn't the Black Forest, but never mind....
I think Uberlingen has it's own thermal baths - there are several across the area, all great.
The city of Konstanz is the main place to see and is lovely - also Meersburg, especially for the Eis Cafes and wine tasting!
Get out on the Bodensee as much as possible - either on the car ferries, or as a foot passenger.
The Zeppelin Museum at Friedrichshafen is really interesting.
The island of Mainau is very pretty - also worth a trip.
As mentioned, lots of free strand bads around the lake.
On Saturday 12th it will be Seenachtsfest - a spectacular fireworks display across the lake, although best seen from Konstanz.
Just relax - the Bodensee is a beautiful area, there is so much to do.

Yes I realise it's not exactly Black Forest, but feels close enough by our standards by the time we've driven all that way 😅 Thanks so much for the suggestions!
