Thinking of going at the end of October, just the 2 of us, no children. Can anyone recommend a lovely riad and tell me about what we should and shouldn’t see/do while we’re there. Thanks

Marrakesh is a total assault on the senses. Noisy, busy, hot, dusty and chaotic.

And the second you step inside the Riad something magical happens. It's cool, fragrant and silent. Like another world.

Riad lyla Marrakech great location, lovely breakfast included. Birdsong & gardens such a relaxing way to wake up.Helpful staff
Arranged a walking tour via Riad very good morning got to skip queues into attractions the guide had so much information he told us about places easy to explore ourselves ( souk) he focused on places harder get to or that needed explanation.
We also wandered into La Mamounia look about walked the gardens, had a cocktail.
Have great time.

We stayed at dar mouassine riad which was great, as we had our own level of two rooms, us in one and the teenager in the other. It was an oasis of calm and style in a city of exciting, craziness. Also It was a cheap way to visit Marrakech and go later to an all inclusive that we thought the teenager would enjoy more - with water park etc. as it turned out we all enjoyed the riad much more than the all inc.

Sorry forgot to say the activity, which the boys loved, was quad biking in the desert. Meanwhile I visited the gorgeous city garden. As a lone female that day, I was treated very respectfully by the locals.

Le Bain Du Marrakesh Spa. It's bloody amazing. Street it's on looks awful but you get to the doors of the spa and enter another world. It's stupidly cheap too. You have to book though.

Definitely visit La Jardin Marjorelle, it's stunning! Even my two teenage boys said it was one of the best trips we did!
