Work have mucked up my October holidays so we now only have Friday, Saturday and Sunday together. I was looking at going to London however, by chance I see we can get to Jersey. Arrival would be around 11.30 on the Friday and the flight back to Glasgow is 3.30 pm Sunday afternoon.

I know it’s not long enough but the flights and premier inn are cheap. Much cheaper than London.

Would you go? I am considering the war tunnels on Friday afternoon when we arrive, dinner and a walk around St Helier. That’s as far as I have got.

I have been before many, many years ago when I was 10/12 ish. I am 52 now. With DH and DS who is 15 and loves history.

sounds good we have been visiting Jersey for several years I tend to think of it as a spring summer destination, but after this years terrible weather why not.
Jersey is lovely and well worth a visit. If your family love History I can also recommend Elizabeth Castle and the Jersey Museum. Shops are pretty good as well.

Thank you. I vaguely remember Elizabeth Castle but it might have been Gorey. I do remember the beaches. Beautiful.

Currently in Jersey, weather is not what we anticipated for Summer but there would be lots to do for a weekend.
It's pricey here but restaurants in St Aubin seem
a bit cheaper than St Helier and you could get a bus to some of the dramatic coast line - we had a lovely lunch in El Tico yesterday.
