Holiday for £5K for 2 adults and 3 teens in Sep/Oct??

We would love a European break with our teens. Not restricted to term time, somewhere warm, not scorching in Sep/ Oct time. Would love Croatia but it looks pricey!
Ideally near the coast and close to nightlife for teens.
Don't mind self catering/villa.
We only have £5K though!
Can we realisically get anything for that?? Any insider knowledge or wisdon much appreciated. 🙂

Have a look at Jet2, there’s plenty under 5k in September for a week. It might depend on how old your teens are though.

Definitely look at Jet2. I’m sure you’ll get lots of places come up for that budget.

Highly recommend Lapad and Dubrovnik, Croatia. We spent 4.5k at a luxury resort, 10 nights half board this August for family of 4, sea view 2bed suite! Checkout Royal resort hotels in Dubrovnik.

We spent £3,200 on a week AI for 2 adults and 2 teens during October half term last year with Jet2. If you’re not tied to school holidays I think you should be able to get what you’re after.

RamblingRosina · 05/08/2023 15:22

I had a week in Cyprus last year in July with two teens, AI, £3,000.
Crystal Springs Hotel.
Highly recommend, but very quiet resort. There is a busy town 10 mins on bus, plenty of bars etc.

Thanks all! Overjoyed to know that I might find something! I'll check them all out! 😉

As you say you're not restricted by term time, are you actually looking for a holiday for five adults?

Whosaidthattt · 05/08/2023 23:28

They are 2 x18 year old twins and a 16 year old, so we are 4 adults and 1 child.

Looks very reasonable to me - I’m looking at 2.5 to 3K for a week for one here…. (single supplements 🙄)

percypig · 05/08/2023 23:37

That’s definitely doable. If you can fly into Split look at villas on feriehome, which is a locally run site. We’ve stayed in 1 and had a great experience and almost booked others with them but ended up going back to one we booked via Airbnb.

percypig · 05/08/2023 23:41

Whoops - posted too soon! The Dalmatian Coast should be lovely at that time of year, but if you’re thinking of flying into Pula I’d recommend myistria, which also has lovely villas. We stayed in one between Porec and Rovinj a few years ago and it was fab.

Neilson beachclub hotel Alana in Croatia.
September still probably pricey, but October (normally they have an Indian Summer) is cheaper.
Flight is with Jet 2 from Stansted / also Manchester options
See you there 😀

TreesandFish · 06/08/2023 00:13

I think you are 5 adults. Holiday companies would count a 16 year old as an adult

Whosaidthattt · 06/08/2023 00:25

Five adults? I thought they were still classed as children until 18. Holiday for 5 adults sounds expensive!!

Different companies have different cut offs - Jet2 still counts 16 as a child so you could still get a free child place for your 16 year old. Even with 4 adults, there’s options in September under 5k for Croatia through Jet 2.

BarbaraofSeville · 06/08/2023 06:38

There's a few options on jet2holidays within budget, just have a look.

Including some caravan holidays for around £2/3k which would also give you a healthy budget for eating out and some trips/activities.

Adults are classed as 12 year olds unfortunately when it comes to holidays Angry

BarbaraofSeville · 06/08/2023 06:38

Jet2holidays don't count teens as adults until 18.

On love holidays there's European breakfast from about £350 per person

gogomoto · 06/08/2023 07:56

There's loads on TUI in budget ai, I filtered by 4 star too so should be ok. I one I went to in fuerterentura was there at £722

gogomoto · 06/08/2023 08:11

In Croatia there's 2 ai 4 stars in budget and lots of self catering. You can also possibly get a cruise, I've found one to Croatia and Green for just over but if you wait until under 3 weeks to departure the prices drop, 3 days out they can be half price!

BarbaraV · 06/08/2023 13:08

12 and over is an adult usually. You'll get something for £5K though.
