Anyone been to a haven in Somerset?

What do you think?

Anyone?

It looks like there isn't a great deal of difference between them apart from size.

There’s probably not loads to choose between them tbh. Which area do you prefer? Domiford bay is nearer exmoor, where are burnham is a bigger town with more going. You can’t really more than paddle along any of the Somerset coast due to the tides and mud, though it might be slightly better towards watcher, never actually been to the beach there, but the beach improves the nearer to Devon you get.

there’s probably more entertainment close by to burnahm for days out, but they’re not miles apart so things could be visited for either site. Just go with which you like best.

Been to both. The Burnham one is bigger with better facilities. Burnham is aquite a nice seaside town although you wouldn't want to swim in the sea due to the local nuclear power station!!! Doniford is very small although more things to see in the local area.
I'd choose the Burnham one.

Thanks both Smile

Never been to Somerset so that's what appeals and can get to either in just over an hour.

We go to Burnham on Sea every year. It's a short walk to the beach and shops, a few supermarkets 5 min drive away and the site is nice and well maintained.
Went to Doniford for a change earlier this year and it was a lovely change but we were lucky the weather was good as if it hadn't been, I think we'd have struggled to find enough to do. My boys loved looking for fossils on the beach. Also, co op isn't far but nearest big supermarket is about 30 mins away.

Loads to do in Burnham, it's not far from Cheddar Gorge, Wells, Glastonbury, Brean Sands and the M5 so it's great as a base for exploring Somerset and Devon.
