Oct half term with 7 - 19 yr olds

My dsis and I are looking at taking our families away for Oct half term, 1 week in the sun.
Ideally AI and somewhere that has plenty of activities for the children aged - 7, 14, 16, 19 & 20.

We’d also like somewhere with separate bedrooms so we could have mum and dad in one room, + 3 children in another room and or sofa bed for smallest one.

Any suggestions for somewhere lovely? I’d like to perhaps do a few excursions but really it’s about the kids having plenty to keep them occupied….. and not being too expensive!

We’re slightly dubious of AI food and all that entails with it! Thanks :)

What sort of budget would you be looking at?

And have I understood correctly that you’d prefer two multi-bedroom apartments/suites?

Yes that’s correct - thanks for writing it succinctly!

Budget is max £1000pp, ideally less

I’d probably be tempted to go to the Canary Islands at that time of year - you could look at:

Los Zocos, Costa Teguise, Lanzarote (2 bedroom suites)

Gran Oasis Resort, Arona, Playa de Las Americas, Tenerife (2 bedroom suites - can get included unlimited Siam Park water park entry through Jet2)

You could also think about mainland Spain / Majorca but the weather is less guaranteed.

Turkey can be an option and does have some great AIs for families, but the weather can be unpredictable at that time of year and often pools etc are not heated.

I was going to suggest Tenerife too. We just got back and it's great for kids. We stayed in Costa Adeje/Playa Fañabe where there are places with 2-bed suites that would suit you (e.g. Baobab Suites, Flamingo Beach Mate).

Siam Park was awesome and I say that as someone who'd never been to a water park before and isn't a huge fan of manufactured fun, but we all, DC and adults, loved it. If you go, get there by 8.30 am, and when the gates open at 9 go straight to the shop selling fast passes and then use them all morning (fast passes are either morning or afternoon).

You get to do each ride once on the fast pass and then you get two extra passes so you can redo your favourites. By lunchtime, it was rammed, so we left at 2 pm, but we'd done all the rides by then.
