NYC - tips with teens

Where would you stay - Manhattan or Brooklyn? Any reasonable accommodation suggestions. Restaurants worth visiting.

And what would be your must sees with early teens?

20% is standard, and you can tip in cash or by card, either way is fine.

$1 pizza is alive and well (well it was in October last year!) my teens bought slices to keep them going.

Restaurant food is + 30% - 10% tax added to bill and 20% tip optional but not really.
