Where shall we go? We've been to Caen and Rouen before, also done the Eiffel Tower but not the rest of Paris.

Looking for 2-3 night stops, and drives out from those bases. This will likely be in June, so I reckon beaches could feature?

If you've done Normandy, how about Brittany? Plenty of beaches, and places to visit like Mont St Michel, the Forêt de Brocéliande, Josselin(with château) and lots of other pretty towns.

Thanks Castille, why didn't I think of Brittany?

Will look for some websites!

Hello, I am thinking of driving to France/Belgium for a long weekend with my husband and 6 year old. We are thinking of taking the ferry to Calais and are looking for recommendations of places to visit/stay within a relatively short drive from each other (1-3 hrs). Any recommendations are welcome... Has anyone done that before?

The Somme estuary is lovely - bird parks and nature reserves
