Travel Cot on Easyjet

I’m travelling with EasyJet soon with my 18 month old, I know I can take a buggy and travel cot for free as the two free items to go in the hold, but, I do not have a carry case/bag for the travel cot. EasyJet say I can’t place it into a large sports bag (which I intended to do) as such a bag can only be used for sports equipment. I’m keen to know how others have checked in travel cots if you don’t have a carry case for it?!

Can you not just buy a travel case for it? It looks like you could get one for around £20, ridiculous that you have to though.

Could you take an inflatable mattress for him instead? That's what I used to do...

Thanks 🙏
I have spoken to Hauck and purchased a carry case for it, they don’t advertise online that they sell them but if you phone them they’ll sell one! Only £12 as well!
