Passport waiting time

Has anyone applied for a new passport for a child recently and could advise how long this took please? I am a complete clown and have just submitted an application for our baby but we go away in 7 weeks and the current waiting time is 10 weeks apparently! Praying it'll be quicker - someone put my mind at ease 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I applied Friday last week and they acknowledged the documents on the 1/08/2023. I'm still waiting for anymore movement though for my 5 year old

I just renewed my adult passport via the post office check and send service and it was back with me in 10 days. A friend did her child’s and hers was back within 2 weeks.

Been waiting since mid December 2024 still nothing
