Has anyone stayed at the Poiano Resort Hotel, near Lake Garda?

This seems like an affordable way to take my teenage daughters to Italy, which is something they've always wanted to do. The hotel is a little bit out of the way though - hence cheaper - which I have concerns about. The hotel does run a free transfer bus to Garda's resort centre, but it does get very busy apparently.
Would love to hear from anyone who has stayed here. I've checked TripAdvisor and the reviews are predominantly very good, not least because it has a huge swimming pool!
Anyway, thanks Smile

I should add that I don't drive, so hiring a car is obviously out of the question.

We stayed there for 8 nights last summer (2022). We got a taxi (eventually) from the train station when we arrived. On leaving we had a private transfer booked to the airport.

Yes it has a 50m pool which my kids loved as they are part of a swim club so they’d train in the morning when it was very quiet. There were activities on site - football, tennis, golf, pool exercise sessions.

you are correct that there are free shuttle buses running down to town, and there was usually a queue and a short wait both ways. There were plenty of restaurants in the town and a bus station where you could travel around the lake. We mainly stayed at the resort though. Please feel free to ask any other questions.

Thank you very much. I didn't book that hotel in the end, but it does look nice.
