At the very last minute, DH has some holiday time for next week (August 6 on) and we’d like to go on a family holiday for a week. No idea where to start looking! I had a look on regular sites (baby friendly boltholes, iescape kids), but obviously it’s the busiest time of the year and most places are booked. And also the volume of stuff to sift through is quite overwhelming. Also prefer self catering which excludes a lot.
I like the idea of going abroad (to get a bit of the sun we’re missing at the moment here!) but don’t have to. And the forecast for 6th onwards doesn’t look too bad. We live in London, so can drive to France etc. I know it’s not necessarily warmer, but also quite interested in going to a Scandinavian country, Denmark, Sweden etc.
But equally, my kids love places like Dorset and Devon. Ahhh I’m overwhelmed by not having a clue where to start!!!
Where do I start looking for last minute holidays?
Or any tips on where to go?
