We are thinking of taking children to holiday parks in Cornwall, Devon in August for the very first time. Never been to Cornwall, Devon. Swimming pool is must and water slide is bonus. dates available from 21st to 3rd September. budget is £700/800 for accommodation. We dont have pets.
Please recommend any other sites if you have a wonderful experience

Is camping an option? Monkey Tree holiday Park in Newquay fits the bill.

Also, Cornwall isn't in Devon 😁

Have you tried the Hoseasons website? Just put in region and dates and loads of holiday parks will come up.

The nicest one we have been to is Hendra near Newquay in Cornwall. Has a great pool but you do need to pay a bit extra to use it. haven Devon Cliffs is good as well but massive site. Next to a beach but can be a bit of a walk depending on where you are a located on site.

I think you’ll be lucky to find a week in august on a holiday park in Devon to cornwall for your budget in august. When I looked a bronze caravan at perran sands for the last week of the holidays was £1850. I booked Greece instead for £1800.

you may be lucky with a last minute deal, but I think £700-800 is pushing it.

@Ohhelpicantthinkofaname Thank you I have booked this. Are they good caravans ?
I could only book for 4 nights, from our place its nearly 5 hour drive . Hope 4 nights would be fine

The caravans will be basic, but seems like they have everything you need. Didn’t realise that haven are now making you pay extra for swimming pool access and stuff, so that does bump the price up a bit, but still a lot cheaper than when I looked earlier in the year.

st Ives is a great base though. Lots to do and see.

It looks like you might have booked already @takemetothespace but Ruda in Croyde, North Devon has a week for £849, Mon 18th August, in a caravan. Has a fun pool, is right on the beach.

takemetothespace · 30/07/2023 20:38

@WonderingWanda thanks, I have booked the holiday

Hendra holiday park near Newquay is good but I think I’m too late!
