Ideally in Corfu.
Want kid/free because my 17 year old is on the spectrum and prefers it quieter. But don't want to be surrounded by couples!! Any recommendations welcome!

Yes, generally adults only is going to be couples of all ages from honeymooners to mature.

RubyJack · 29/07/2023 21:44

I have been to adults only hotels with my husband and separately with my adult daughter.
There were a mix of couples and friends/family members.
I think some hotels(Tui)are specifically for couples but that would be indicated in the hotel's description.

Have been to “adults only” a couple of times in Majorca. Usually been a mix of couples (all ages), singles, a groups of ladies.

I've been to adult only hotels loads before I had my kid. I went on my own, with friends, with my partner. Who wants to be around a load of kids screaming and splashing about in the pool when you don't have to be??? Go and enjoy the peace!

Went to Cyprus last year, adults only hotel with dh, Dd (23) and Ds (21), was very quiet and mostly populated by couples over 60 ish, with maybe one other family with adult kids

But why do you think you can book an adults only holiday with a 17 yo?

DottyLS · 29/07/2023 22:07

@SideWonder usually allowed to book for age 16 +

Went to amazing adults only hotel in June in Ibiza. Very mixed groups, couples, friends, mums and daughters etc. No one stood out at all. Min age allowed is 16.

DottyLS · 29/07/2023 22:23

Glad I found this, I just talked to my nd nearly 18yo ds about an adult only hotel tonight. Think it would be a much better holiday for us but had worried about being surrounded by couples too.

wwyd2021medicine · 29/07/2023 22:50

I'm just back from an adults only. Couples, groups of 3-4 mixed or women, some holidaying alone. Didn't feel particularly couple-y. Was with DH and DD.

DottyLS · 29/07/2023 22:51

Would you recommend- where was it?

@DottyLS We loved Monsuau in Cala D’Or. 5 min walk to a nice selection of bars/restaurants/shops and beach in Cala Ferrera and a 20 min walk to a the main centre of Cala D’Or for a bigger selection. Lovely marina there too.
Food was good. Pool area was immaculate and had nice day beds and comfy loungers. Plenty for the guests, never fighting for space etc. Lovely soft acoustic music around the pool in the day rather than the louder stuff you get in a lot of hotels (bar 30 mins a day where they had a water aerobics class and it was louder!). Nice quiet bedrooms rooms too 😊

Its changed hands since we were last there pre-covid I think so definitely worth having a look at current reviews just incase but we couldn’t fault it the twice we stayed there.

Sorry @Ifulikepinacoladas! I was trying to ask a question last night & it kept posting🤦🏻‍♀️
Can I ask which hotel it was as I'm looking to book for solo-travel & it sounds fab🙏🏻

stonkytonk11 · 30/07/2023 08:32

Cala D'or Inturotel Cala Esmeralda is 16+ and looks really lovely

Would you recommend- where was it?

Sadly not
We were half board and evening meal was awful imo
I've been to many AI's and the evening food was way better there (even one that was panned for food on TA) than at this half board
