Stupid question - Apple Pay in Belgium?

We’re off to Belgium for a few days. Was intending to just use my Monzo card as usual abroad but am totally out of the habit of using the physical card and just use Apple Pay. That’ll be fine in Belgium right? May seem stupid but in the past I’ve had a couple of hiccups using cards in the Netherlands and Belgium that I hadn’t expected - their systems seemed a bit more picky than elsewhere about the type of card etc.

I live in Belgium and to be honest I don't have the answer to this as I still just use my credit card, mainly because Apple Pay doesn't accept my Carrefour credit card plus my Carrefour points are linked to it (so I don't need two cards[.

Just to say though that credit card use is widespread in Belgium unlike the Netherlands and Germany so as long as you have a credit card with you, you'll have no problem.

Currently in France and using it no problem. Credit card wants a PIN every time…won’t do contactless…but ApplePay is perfectly functional.
