Red alert for wildfires in Balearics

I've only just seen this - issued three days ago. We are going on Wednesday - slightly concerned now. Anyone else?

Where are you due to be going?

Wildfire alerts aren’t super unusual during hot summers. I’d be checking travel insurance for what they will cover and taking sensible precautions (ie making sure you have a way of keeping abreast of the news / alerts whilst away, especially if you’re going to be staying in a villa rather than a hotel) but would definitely be going still.

When it’s dry and the wind speed increases it just automatically increases the alert level.

We are going to Menorca. Have been loads of times before and never heard of a very high alert before. We have good insurance but it doesn't specifically mention fires

Us too. Never been on a package hol before.
They're also saying 1000 flights a day are going into Majorca as they've accommodated people's holidays that were meant to go to Rhodes.
