Can anyone help me finding a campsite/holiday village with mobile/bungalow type accommodation based on the following criteria:-

●Medium sized to large site (500-1000 pitches) crazy big (im ruling out the likes of sanguli, union lido)

●Suitable for younger kids and teens.
Good football pitch/football tournaments

●Near beach or lake and near town/village - nothing too remote but can't see us enjoying salou so I'm ruling Cambrills.

●Good entertainment but don't want to be listening to loud noise/music after midnight. Have ruled out a lot because of this.

●Don't want a site split in two with a busy road. Kids will be on bikes so don't want to be worrying about them.

●Near an airport. Will be car hiring if needed.

● Need 3 bedroom accommodation.

●I want to avoid mosquito's so that probably rules out Bella Italia (which is probably too busy for us anyway), and other lake garda sites.

●We have done Duinrell nice but busy.
Le Pin Parasol loved it but very remote.
Les brunelles - great site but would rather not go back to vendee as I want slightly better weather.

I think we might like La Sirène/L'hippocampe so they are on my list. Someone recommended El Delfin Verde But might be too busy for my liking

But looking for other suggestions please.

We enjoyed Playa Montroig a few times between 2016-2019 (with younger kids). We always booked direct with the campsite and stayed in their cabin house things.

Medium size and buzzy but not huuuuge. Nice pool area, right on the beach, gym, tennis, football pitches. Evening entertainment if you want it. A few meal options and other lovely restaurants on the beach.

1.5hrs from BCN. water parks nearby, plus Port Aventura.

We thought Salou was hideous. Tarragona much nicer. Or even Sitges.

Le Paradis in the Dordogne is a lovely site and should have all you are looking for

TakingTheHorseToFrance · 27/07/2023 15:04

Thanks. Playa Montroig was on our list but a friend of mine went and said she didn't think it would suit the 14 year but I'll keep it on my shortlist. Absolutely agree Salou is horrid and Tarragona lovely.

Le Paradis - have never heard of this site before. It looks absolutely beautiful but I'd say too small in that it might be hard for the kids to find friends but I'll search in that area for bigger camps near it.

Le Brasilia

Pra del torri ne Italy. Huge range of accommodation, right on beach, multi national kids clubs and teen programmes including sports (haven't been since covid, check this!) We drove, it's 2-3 days drive from midlands

Le Brasilia

We liked Brasília as a site but didn’t think much of the town. Beach wasn’t all that either IIRC.

Look at Peneyrals in Dordogne😊

We did Dordogne having done Vendee and really missed the beach - the river didn’t quite cut it!
also after the nice empty roads of vendee found the driving and busy-ness of Dordogne in August very unpleasant.
journey time much longer (although if you’re flying might not be relevant) and we weren’t very lucky with the weather it was pretty wet

One of my favourites. Also Siblu La Carabasse - near village, beach, airport, no car needed. Football pitches, kids club, great pool complex, water slides. Mini golf and funfair within 10 min walk. Very safe for kids to cycle round.

Hi. I saw this post and your criteria match mine. Where did you book?

BrieAndChilli · 31/12/2024 13:34

We have stayed in Pra'delle Torri
Was great. Like a PP we drove stopping overnight on the way.
Private beach access, lots of pools, shops/resturants on site, evening inflatables for kids, numerous parks etc and the nearby town was lovely.
