Has anyone visited recently? Are there good restaurants? We are thinking of renting a house on the harbour front for next year. My husband used to go as a child and says that it can become quite rowdy in the evenings, and busy in the day when caravan park people and bus trippers pile into town. Is this still the case?

Its lovely, although Saundersfoot is quieter and there are nice places to eat there. I stay in Saundersfoot and travel into Tenby in the day. Yes it is busy but that's why it flourishes. Make sure you fit a trip to Caldey Island in.

Tenby is gorgeous but yes it can get very busy and is popular with hens & stags. I agree with the above poster re Saunderfoot as a good alternative!

We stayed in saundersfoot this Easter and it was very busy. You need to book at most restaurants during busy times.

I'm in Tenby now.
It can get busy but not much of an issue if you have a cottage to escape to when you need some peace!
The beaches are big enough so you'll always find a space.
We're a group of 8 and have only been turned away from one pub as they didn't have a table.

We've had to book restaurants in advance but that's not a problem.

It's a gorgeous place and is our favourite UK holiday destination.

Tenby does get very crowded in the summer (it's especially popular with English tourists) but if you are there for a longish stay you should be able to enjoy the quieter moments, and you can book restaurants etc in advance. You could base yourself in Tenby and take day trips elsewhere - I second the recommendation for Caldey Island.

I enjoyed the expression "caravan park people" - that's us 😂

I like Tenby, this is my favourite restaurant there: www.plantagenettenby.co.uk

It is very busy but also lovely. We’re regular day trippers so can’t vouch for the evening.

The Plantagenet is lovely as pp said. We also like the pub grub in the Harbwr.

Thank you. That pub looks adorable. A little on the pricey side though!
