Rainy Cornwall

Due to go Cornwall (Bude) on Saturday for a week. I can’t help but feel so down about the crappy weather! We were well aware when booking, British weather is so unpredictable and booking a UK break you should be prepared for it. We normally go abroad every year however we have a little baby this year I didn’t want to take abroad so young so opted for UK. Which I’m very thankful for as we usually go to Rhodes.

I’m also super grateful we are able to go on a break. It’s just sooooo annoying, I couldn’t care less about it being warm it’s just the fact it’s due to rain everyday! However, we do want to make the most of it still, any tips on what to do in a rainy Bude?

Afternoon tea at Strawberry Fields Lifton (if you have children) Arundel Arms if not.
St Nectans Glen if showery but a walk is OK or sunny spells (which we are getting a lot of)
Padstow Lobster Hatchery
Dartington Glass Factory Torrington watch the glassblowing
Do the beach anyway and surfing lessons
Bude sea pool in the rain if not too cold (everyone's into sea swimming all year round now)
See how far Dingles Fairground is that's a lot of indoor rides

@Ohmylovejune that's really helpful thank you very much! Will look into all your recommendations 😃 do you live in Cornwall? If so is the bbc weather really unreliable? I find myself checking everyday haha

Yeah I'm on south coast of Cornwall although family live in North Devon.

Look them.up as with a baby you may have more restrictions on what you want to do.

We had one day last weekend of heavy rain but otherwise its been OK down here but Bude is 2 hours away from us. You may need to make the most of when it's nice.

Ooohhhh also....my (photographer) daughters favourite Davidstow Airfield and Museum. It's a strange place but many people love it - including my daughter! Part very definitely outside but museum is inside. Again look it up if you need somewhere to hide in the dry!
