Sardinia

Sitting looking at the rain and dreaming about our holiday next year! We are hoping to go to Sardinia, for 7-10 days in July. DC will be 7 and 4.

We enjoy days on the beach and at the pool, strolling around old towns plus day trips in a hire car to see interesting sights. So a bit of variety is important. Nice restaurants we can walk to in the evening.

We normally go for self catering. However next year DH has a special birthday so we would possibly like to stay in a hotel with breakfast (not all inclusive).

Does anyone have any recommendations? For area and/or hotel? It’s important that it is family friendly.

Glad to see that about Porto Rondo @toddlermom99 . We are flying into Olbia and staying very slightly inland- but Porto Rondo looks to be our closest coastal area.

So far, every time I look on a Sardinia thread people are talking about a completely different area and I've wondered whether it's going to be OK, although I'm sure I had read the North East coast was meant to be beautiful. (Olbia is the only Sardinia flight from our local airport )

Do you have any recommendations of places to visit ? We don't have children with us , so not particularly looking at child friendly (although I guess from your user name that is the main focus of your holiday).

We stayed in an Airbnb in Foxi Manna - small village, lovely beach.
