Early September, 4 year old, not too hot

I am going round in circles trying to find a holiday for the first week of September for me, DH and DS4. DS doesn’t like it too hot. BUT we hope to have another DC next year so feel we’d like to go abroad this year with just the one while it’s relatively easy.

A package would be good as it’s easy but everywhere I can think to look at still seems very hot - like at least 28 and sunny every day. Eg Tenerife, Algarve, Lake Garda.

Can anyone suggest an easy abroad holiday that will also be more like low/mid 20s?

I’ve started looking at northern France/Belgium for the weather but we’ve never done holidays there before and the idea of driving feels stressful and would cause worry that I’d rather avoid. I’m not sure if there are options that don’t require driving - any ideas welcome!

Thank you! :-)

You could have a look at Tui Lakes and Mountains packages - you get the package easiness but also a range of cooler destinations. The Alps might be a good temp for you at that point in the year or the Italian lakes would be getting down to the mid-20s usually, although it’s a bit trickier to predict with the warmth this summer.

You could also look at doing something like The Netherlands or Belgium by train if driving doesn’t appeal.

It could be something like CentreParcs / EuroCamp if that would feel a bit easier with facilities etc.

Perhaps Village Nature Paris? Take the Eurostar to Paris, from there you can take the RER A train to Marne-la-Vallee. From there you can get the number 47 bus which takes around 25 mins or take a taxi which is about 15 mins. Buses run between the Disneyland and Villages Nature.

Thank you both @cherryassam and @Fivemoreminutes1 - after a few more weeks of indecision we have booked for Austria with Tui and really looking forward to it
