We haven’t booked anything at all this summer! And are all slightly desperate for a holiday.

Don’t even know where to begin.

What’s the best summer holiday you’ve done with primary-aged children?

Tui blue ephesus in Turkey. Only place we’ve been to twice. Huge water park and pools. Kids club. Kids absolutely loved it.

If you ask my youngest though she would say a caravan park in Skegness. We did get amazing weather and she loved the crappy amusements

We have just come back from Dawlish in Devon. It was our 3rd time and booked again for next year. Ds is 9 and loves it, as do we. We do go to the canaroes once a year as well, for the weather early in the year but my favourite by far is Devon.

Loads to do, go on a big campsite for families with pools and kids clubs etc. Drive to a different beach/town every day, or use the train and explore the coastline. Also ferries from various places to others which is an adventure for that age group. Even if its not beach weather, crabbing is loads of fun and lots of watersports centres as well. We had a hot tub this time, know they are hated on mn but DS had a lot of fun in ours.

DD is an only child and loves the European campsites (we've been to ones in France and Belgium), so much to do, she loves the freedom and usually finds someone to play with
