I have upto £1500 for travel and accommodation. Some flexivility in this for roght thing.

2 weeks free beginning of September ( can travel anytime 2nd to 16th). Happy to be away part or all of this.

2 adults. 1 x 3 year old. Would need multiple bedrooms so apartment/villa/family room preferred.

Open to cities/beach/whatever. Would prefer NOT all inclusive.

Pre child we were more of the book a flight to random country and explore driving around types so not traditionally the all inclusive, stay on beach/poolside all day types.

Where would you go?

Honestly I'd be really surprised if you could find anywhere for two weeks on that budget. Especially if you're looking for a package with flights included. I would try Greece or Majorca as they tend to be cheaper. Good luck

I'd look at Bulgaria maybe? Possibly turkey. It's not the school hols so you might snag a bargain in Greece/Spain.

NashvilleQueen · 20/07/2023 13:39

Sorry just noticed you need multiple bedrooms. That makes the price higher.

Not looking for the whole 2 weeks. We have 2 weeks spare. Happy with 5-7 nights especially if a city break or similar.

Stansted would be ideal but would consider any of the london airports or even Birmingham

I'd probably go to mainland Spain, or Balearics. You could combine city and beach if you stay near Barcelona, Palma, Alicante or Malaga and also be able to visit castles and other historical sites. Likely also play parks and splashparks, which DC would love.

There's a few choices in Jet2 holidays for 2 weeks for £1500 SC or have a play with the options, shorten to 10 days to increase the choice for the budget.

Puglia. Manfredonia has a sandy beach, a castle, a museum, loads of cafes/restaurants and great food. It's on the Gargano peninsula, so the landscape behind is gorgeous too. Lots of decent airbnbs around the 50-100 mark.

There's even a fire engine museum. A Fire Engine Museum. Plus a lighthouse. It's three year old heaven.

Greece. That was my destination of choice when DS was a kid.
