I have no idea what to recommend and would love any recommendations. Obviously money is tight. She'd probably like some excursions but mostly a nice beach for her and boyfriend. Croatia? Bulgaria? Any suggestions? They'll both be 17 next summer.
Thanks

I meant Jet2. Or any package holiday company you'd recommend.

I'm not really sure I would be recommending a holiday for my 16 year old child and a 'boyfriend' next Sumner ... what makes you think they will still be together? Don't you think that's too young for a 'couples' holiday?

And if they really are mature enough to go away together (can they even book a holiday at that age?) then surely they can research their own holiday. Hmm.

Might they break up by then? Yes of course. Could they manage a holiday together (assuming they can even book one)? Yes.
To be fair to me, I started this thread to see if there was anything constructive info I could offer on the off chance they are still together by then. They are doing pretty well together and have already had a small UK holiday. Sadly my plan to keep her locked in a tower until she's 40 has failed. I totally take your point and recognise how reasonable it is.
I made the call that creating obstacles made it more likely she would battle them and make poor decisions.

As for research, yes she's doing her own research but I'd rather hear other voices on this.

At that age, book very last minute and get a deal

gogomoto · 16/07/2023 21:49

Dd did a Croatian cruise when we went with her boyfriend though she was a little older, at 17 she came away with us

bellinisurge · 16/07/2023 21:52

Very last minute is what I had in mind. Thanks for reinforcing it though

If they'll both still be 17 they'll be pretty limited which tour operators will allow them to travel, many require someone 18+ on the booking. Olympic Holidays allow two seventeen year olds travelling alone to certain properties i believe.

timetochangethename · 16/07/2023 22:19

I'll be amazed if they can book a package holiday under 18 with no accompanying adult.

It's a real struggle to even find a hotel in the U.K. these days that allows u18's to book and stay alone. Premier inn and Travelodge etc no longer allow it.

Fair enough. If it's a non-starter, then it's a nonstarter.
Cheers all
