Oct half term cruise

Can anyone recommend a warm weather cruise for October 1/2 term for me and 14 yr old? Would love the entertainment side of things and new places to see each day. Not a giant ship. Could be medit or America? Budget around £5k

It depends on what your 14 year old likes to do. If you don't want a larger ship, there's less to do in the way of activities (although usually still plenty of shows/trivia quizzes/musicians etc). And most lines will have a kids club, where your 14 yo can meet other kids his/her age. But smaller ships won't have the whistles and bells (ropes courses, laser tab etc) that you get on larger ships.

How about a cruise out of New York or Boston, going up East Coast to Canada. Princess Cruises have one going on 28th October (is that half term?) with lots of stops and only one sea day. Might be chilly, but sounds interesting.

As for the Caribbean or Med, there are lots of options, on ships of all sizes.
I use Vivavoyage to search for a cruise, just put in your destination and month of travel, and it shows cruises from all lines, so you can compare itineraries/prices etc.

If you want sunny you will need the Caribbean at that time of year. You can do the canaries as well I know P&O sail out of Malta at that time of year but a lot of those are 14 nights so not suitable for half term.

Personally I would fly to Fort Lauderdale and get a Royal Carribean cruise down to the Carribean, there will be a lot more fun on that ship for your teen.

The Mediterranean is a good temperature at that time of year. Barcelona is an easy port to get to from the airport.
