I was just wondering if they use shuttle buses or tunnels to the aircraft?

I don’t really know why, maybe if they had managed to attract one of the budget airlines?

I think they courted Jet2 who weren't interested @Hoppinggreen . Flybe used to fly from Doncaster but went bust. Tui were the only major airline that flew out of there.

Our easiet to get to airport is LBA. I know several different routes as we used to live in Leeds. Manchester is a PITA to get to. Woodhead Pass is often closed due to bad weather or accidents, and going via the M1 and M62 is twice as far.

True, several different companies tried but could never make it viable.

General feeling as understand is was too many airports in that part of the world for the amount of business that could be generated...With the established airports at Leeds Bradford to the North, Manchester to the West and East Midlands to the south it was always going to be tough for Finningley Doncaster to entice business away.....

It's a shame it couldn't take some traffic away from LBA, given it's in a much better location for road transport links.

Quite a chilled airport and minimal waiting time at security etc .
A note of caution though ,return landings can be a nitemare due to cross winds ,so much so that I haven't flown since my last experience of landing there .

It is since they built the link road. It was a nightmare before.
