What are people doing about them? Do you think they'll actually go ahead or get called off last minute?

So much potential turmoil....I can't believe yet another of our holidays looks set to be cancelled, it seems we are destined to never go.

I have no answers, but hopping on here in the hope that someone has. Both our flights fall into the strike action window. It's the first time on a plane for the DCs (and my first for years!) and they were really looking forward to it. Not sure if we should look at alternative flights, or hand luggage only options, or whatever else..

Hi @musicalmrs yes both ours are too :( My DH is absolutely adamant it will be called off but I think it's just too close to the line now. So angry, we were pretty desperate for this holiday after a very hard year and we've saved like crazy for it. Our last two years of holidays have ended up cancelled for one reason or another. I know its not great for people to be underpaid but we don't earn a lot either and are in an industry with no option to strike...we'd just get sacked!

Urgh so sorry @ThexFallxIsxSkying - that's rubbish re your other holidays too.

It's the up-in-the-air-ness I can't stand. We don't actually know what to do and whether we should look for alternative flights (if there are any) or what. We've checked and our insurance will cover us if it all falls apart, which is something...

I support people striking and understand why they're doing it. I work in a mix of arts and education, and this year I lost a lot of work and therefore income due to other people striking (education/transport). I'm just a bit fed up and would like something to go right for once..!

Have you got a back up plan in place?

We are flying in the 2nd strike window.. it's so frustrating and scary ..
