Anyone in the Mediterranean at the moment?

How hot is it at the moment? I'm going on Saturday and just wondering if the heat is unbearable?

I feel for all of you. It sounds awful. I don’t cope with the heat.

Just back from Valencia, and it was 35-38 degrees every day. DD is in Malaga - went on Wednesday and people were saying to her that she'd arrived on the hottest day of the year (think 42 as a pp noted).

Too late for you OP and others posting but DD bought a small rechargeable fan from Amazon and it was an absolute godsend to us in Valencia! It was so funny - everywhere she went people were asking her for a blast of it!! I'm never going away somewhere hot again without one.

I wish I was away from all the goddamn rain and I'd never complain about the heat again lol! I love the Algarve, and I love Sevilla (though I've always felt the heat there when very hot is somehow less bearable than other locations? maybe I'm nuts?!) Last time we were in Sevilla we found a lovely tapas bar that had a refreshing water misting thingy, and it was great! Banana Beach in Valencia also has one (fabulous restaurant btw!) and there's also a public one in the Plaza de la Reina.

We also used an Evian mist spray which brought momentary relief!

Friends from Arizona are currently in Siragusa, Sicily, which is cooler than their home town of Phoenix. Nights are very hot, they report.

I'm in Cyprus.
It's 32 degrees right now in Limassol. 23:20.
My husband was in Nicosia today where it hit 42 degrees.

Heading home from Majorca tomorrow
37 on Tuesday which I found unpleasant but since has dropped by a couple of degrees and ok as more of a breeze.

Cyprus here, really hot today and meant to be worse tomorrow. Ate at a restaurant literally on the beach tonight and everyone was pouring with sweat, that was at 2230.

What area are you going to? I'm in Antibes and it's perfect weather. Its 31/32 degrees and that's the forecast for next week too. Don't worry too much!

I'm going to Ibiza next week and it's supposed to be 40°. I've been this time of year before and it's been hot but not that hot.

Yeah I'm going to the French Riviera on Monday so that's good to hear @Jelly4444.

Barcelona here but outside in Castellar near the mountains...about 30c..high humidity....not been into the centre as always packed with tourists and the train has air con but the platforms are an oven.....

In Balearics and it is sooooo hot. We lived overseas and love the heat but this is harsh. Not much let up or breeze.

we are swimming and pool time between 7-10am quiet indoor time and lunch and siesta and then adventure in the car ( with aircon) and dinner out.

Back for night swims to cool before sleep.

Means no day drinks for DH but he doesn’t seem to mind.

lots of ice coffee, umbrellas over parts of the pool and lots of chilled water.

I was in the province of Murcia this week and we had 42 degrees on our shady covered terrace. You'll be on an island, but don't underestimate the heat. I trust you'll have aircon?

I‘m in the South of France and it’s fine. Cities are hot but the cost is cool and I’m on a hill so we have a nice breeze

Yesterday in Spain it was 36 degrees at 8.45 in the evening. No breeze we melted

Today, I just honestly feel very ill. Spain, Valencia coast.

90 % humidity and 36 degrees. PP is correct, it does not get much cooler at night at all. Hideous.

Oh dear this thread reads like the opening pages of a near dystopian novel. I wouldn’t consider the Mediterranean during summer school holidays sadly.

Valencia, city and coast, are so lovely though!
