EasyJet Cancellations

Hi

I've booked a holiday to Spain end of August and with reading what's happening with certain EasyJet flights being cancelled I'm really worried about still flying with them.

We booked a package Holiday including accommodation so it's really tricky to move airlines right now.

Has anyone's flight been cancelled whilst they're at the airport waiting to check in? Did EasyJet offer a full refund of the holiday?

I've called the EasyJet number but the system is automated and doesn't point me in the right direction.

Can anyone help or advise please?

I thought they had already advised people if their flight has been cancelled. Am going to Majorca from Gatwick end of August and booked accommodation separately so am hoping I would know by now ! Have to pay for accommodation next week so am worrying TBH !

If it's a package holiday, the provider will take care of any changes for you.

I did call up today but the customer service rep said she can't guarantee the flight may or may not be cancelled the same day. Just worrying.

I'll book accommodation separately next time just to be safe.

The planned cancellations have happened. It is only Gatwick flights and where they have multiple flights a day to a destination - they've consolidate planes ( hence the 95% have been rebooked on flights statement).

Our flight has been cancelled - they booked us on one 6 hours later.

There us always a risk with any airline of a same day cancellation for operational/ weather reasons. I'm sure your flight will be fine - chances are it will be and not worth fretting about.

This is why I’m now booking packages rather than everything separately. I’m finding that price wise it’s not more expensive anyway.

then if any part of it is cancelled the whole thing is sorted.

I’ve seen many people recently having booked accommodation the owners selling up or whatever and being left with flights and no where to stay as well.

Similar to us.

Our flight was cancelled with 5 days notice. We were rebooked onto an earlier flight the next day, which was too late for us. So we managed to get a layer flight the same day.

That flight was delayed by 3.5 hours 🤬 I am beyond digusted with the service from Easyjet and have put in multiple compensation claims. Will aim not to fly with them again if I can!

Oh and we had our accommodation booked separately like we usually do, so even less protection.

Our BA flight got cancelled as we walked to the gate last week, and there were no seats on the next one, so we didn’t fly until Thursday evening, instead of Tuesday morning. They won’t cover accommodation costs that we missed, but will cover the new flight, and we’ll get some compensation (although it won’t really cover the costs of two days of airport living, plus two days missing accommodation/holiday)

It’s a risk. Have good insurance.
