LEGOLAND Billund

We're planning a trip to LEGOLAND (my phone keeps capitalising this!) Billund at the end of August. Not sure yet whether we'll need 1 or 2 days at the park. Does anyone know if they offer a repeat visit at a discount when exiting (rather than buying 2 days up front)? Thank you.

How long are you going for? The Lego House is great - you could easily do 2 days there! Legoland also good with minimal queuing- wouldn't have thought you would need 2 days..

As far as I'm aware they don't offer a repeat day for cheaper - where are you staying?

Fleanne · 11/07/2023 21:45

Thank you both. We are going for 5 days and Lego House is also on the to do list! Staying at Lalandia.

I think it depends on how old your dc are. If you think they can last the whole day and/or they’re at an age where they can’t go on every attraction, then one day is fine. It you don’t think they’ll last from opening to closing time, and they can go everything, then definitely either Q Bots or 2 days.

There's a discount if you buy your Lego House & Lego land tickets together. We also stayed at LaLandia and found it the perfect base. The water park is fantastic. And you're walking distance to all the other attractions. Not sure you'll have time but we also visited Wow Park (forest adventure park) which was excellent and also walking distance from LaLandia.

How long are you staying in Lalandia? To be honest I find the rest of the region quite dull. If you’re staying a week, i would definitely go 2 days to Legoland as there is not much else that’s really interesting. Apart from Lego house that is! We did 1 day park, 1 day house, 1 day park last visit and it really worked for us.

Thank you. DC is 4 so maybe we should buy a 2 day ticket to be on the safe side.

Will look at Wow park as well :)

We're also going at the end of August!
My kids are older - 10 and 8 but we only have three days and our plan is
1 day LL
1 day lego house
1 day Lalandia (not staying there but I think the kids will love the waterpark)

We did a similar holiday a few years ago, although we started off with 3 days in Copenhagen first before driving over to Billund for a further 3 days. DC were 11, 9 and 7 at the time.

One day in Legoland was ideal, we did everything we wanted to by mid afternoon, although we were 'lucky' that it was a rainy day so the park was quiet. We had lunch in the Legoland hotel, not expensive, better food than most of the other options available. The chips were shaped like lego- the DC still mention it now! It was much quieter than Windsor. Lego House was brilliant, but again a day is enough. Could string it out to two days if you spend ages building things I guess. We loved the play areas on the roof too, it was a great place.

We also stayed at Lalandia and enjoyed the water park for an hour or.so each day. Can you hire a car/investigate public transport and visit other places? Aarhus is relatively close by and supposed to be nice. We loved Copenhagen but it was about a 3 hour drive if i remember correctly, so probably not an option if you've already booked your accommodation.

Hope you have a great time!

@littlemisslozza thank you! I'd love to go to Copenhagen but the drive is just a little too long. Maybe another time 😊
@StillWantingADog have a great holiday!
