Hot & sunny recommendations for October half term

We went abroad in the October half term last year, and absolutely loved an extra week of sunshine right before the winter set in properly.

We went to Cape Verde (which I thoroughly recommend), but where else would you recommend?

Thanks.

If you’re happy with a similar flight time to Cape Verde and want properly hot you could look at:

Sharm El Sheik / Hurghada, Egypt (c. 5h30 flight)
Oman (c. 7h)
Dubai (c. 7h)
Abu Dhabi (c. 7h)
Marrakech (c. 4h)

If budget allows then Mauritius. October is a great time to go. The food and scenery are fantastic. Bliss.

Turkey and Northern Cyprus are lovely in October.

Gran Canaria
This year we’re going to Dubai

I’ve been to Cyprus that week and it’s still very pleasantly warm

For guaranteed warmth you need to go as least as far as the canaries. Cyprus, southern parts of Greece and Sicily can be warm but not always, it can be stormy in October.
