Currently pregnant with DD2 and we’re very lucky in that hubby can take 5 months paternity leave.

We’re hoping to plan a month abroad next May/June with our 3 year old and what will be 8 month old girls. Trying to make up for the fact that we couldn’t go anywhere with our DD1 covid baby! Any recommendations?

Think we’d like to go to France, Spain or Portugal and maybe stay in either two or three places in those countries. Maybe a mix of villas and hotels. Would love to hear your thoughts!

When our dcs were that age we went to Majorca. We hired a car and we just loved
touring around that island. Everywhere was so accessible and easy, we found.
Wouldn't be for a long holiday but we happily spent two weeks there.

Was going to suggest Mallorca. You could get ferry to Ibiza also/.

Portugal is lovely and so family friendly. I’d recommend Alvor, Quinta Lago and Tavira.

Or Malaga, Nerja, Cordoba.

Portugal is such a lovely country, good value for money definitely.

The Martinhal hotels/resorts are excellent when travelling with kids, there are two in Lisbon and two on The Algarve.

What do you like doing? Beach, culture, countryside etc? What sort of budget? Bear in mind the weather was bloody awful over most of Europe this year in May - pool weather is not a given. Will you drive or fly? Given a month in May/June I would probably go for Andalucia and visit Seville and Granada with side trips and some time by the beach, Nerja maybe. Malaga/Marbella. So there is plenty to see and do. Spain is incredibly family friendly and even the babies are out in the evening.
