Anyone been here?

We’ve been to Menorca but not this area.
Family of 4 with two teens.

Yes. We’re going again in September but only because we love the hotel we’re going to and it suits me because I’m disabled.

It’s got lovely beaches and it’s very near to Ciutadella, some people walk there, but there is a bus. They’re quite a few restaurants, bars and a waterpark within Calan’ Forcat itself, but the resort isn’t the best on the island imo. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not awful and you’d have a good holiday there.

We always hire a car and go out and about.

We probably won’t hire a car to keep the price down.
last year we went to Majorca and the kids spent 2 weeks jumping into the sea and we barely used the hotel apart from to eat.
this will be our first self catering holiday. To be honest a villa or apartment would do but they’re v expenisve!

Me and DH stayed at the Talayot in 2019. We got a last minute cheap and cheerful break. The apartments are dated but clean. The complex is quite big, but it’s dotted around quite a few pools. There’s a supermarket opposite reception but there’s a Lidl in Ciutadella which you could get a bus to and a taxi back if you wanted to stock up on basics.

Our apartment had a couple of sun beds on the patio so we didn’t use the pools tbh. The beach is in walking distance as is the water park and resort. There’s a really nice restaurant called L’Ancora a few metres down.
