Thailand

Is Thailand late June/early July the monsoon season? We quite fancy it but due to work commitments etc, that's probably the only time we could go next year.

We'd love to visit asia but prefer all inclusive. Are there any other suggestions? 2 adults 1 teen, maybe 2 teens as DD wants to bring her BF!

Budget would be between £6000-£7000 including flights from Scotland but obviously the cheaper the better!

i think you might be better off on the east coast at that time of year? Koh Samui, Koh Phanyan, Koh Tao. Koh Samui would have the best pick of all inclusives.

Audley travel has a very good weather guide.

I wouldn’t go all inclusive as it’s so cheap to eat out there. If you want all inclusive there’s no point going all the way to Thailand in June/July as you can get what you want in the med.

Dry area in Asia at that time of year:
bali
java
borneo
central vietnam
agree with pp I would not do all inclusive
Vietnam: Hoi an and Hue would be my choice, although weather can be very hot. It was about 40 degrees when we were there in summer 2016.

all inclusive in thailand is total waste. Local restaurants are cheap and excellent.

I've been to Thailand a bunch of times at different times of year, never really had a problem with the weather....you might get some big downpours in wet season but the showers generally come and go quickly. I'd avoid April/May just because it's so so hot that time of year.

I agree with previous posters, wouldn't dream of going all inclusive in Thailand or SE Asia in general. I think you'd find it difficult to find many places offering all inclusive anyway. I love wandering around and finding all the best local spots for meals and drinks. Food and service is wonderful and amazing value and it's nice to support the small local businesses while you're there.
