Christmas Markets

Looking to take our 2 DC to a European Christmas Market this year, they'll be 3.5 & 21 months. DH and I have been to a few, pre-kids:

Berlin
Krakow
Warsaw

But wondered if anyone could recommend one that's especially good for young kids?

There seemed to be a good amount of things for kids at both Vienna and Innsbruck, but I’m not sure how much of it would be suitable for DC as young as yours.

Vienna I think there was a playground and there were craft areas for the kids. There were definitely reindeer, I think.

Innsbruck there was a little funfair and a petting zoo. There were puppet shows but we didn’t watch as my DH has a fear of puppets!

Vienna is great.

I've booked Valkenburg this year - markets in caves, and meant to be a lovely town. Sounds as if they have a lot aimed at children, so worth a look.

To be honest I wouldn't take children that small to an xmas market - too crowded! Brussels has a big wheel, ice rink and carousels. Lille has a small market but is beautifully decorated for Xmas. Avoid Cologne. Aachen is sweet.

Thanks both. I've been to Vienna before (although not at Christmas time) and wasn't really taken with it as a city break. I'll look into it though.

Just looked at Valkenburg and it looks amazing! Thanks for the link!
