Salzburg hotels

Hi all

I am going on holiday to Austria in the summer with my 2 DC (11 and 8). Main week is in the alps but I’m thinking of tacking on a couple of nights in Salzburg first to avoid Saturday flying.

Could anyone recommend a hotel there at all - would need a pool.

Also is there much to do with youngish kids?

Budget dependent obviously but we had a blissful couple of nights at Hotel Schloss Monchstein. Outdoor pool, real luxury feel and short walk into the centre via a free elevator.

From googling hotels with pools in Salzburg seem quite limited - am wondering if I will have to stay slightly outside

Should add that sadly budget slightly lower than Hotel Schloss but it looks gorgeous!
