Venice - English speaking cafés?

I'm wondering how much English is spoken in Venice esp at cafés and restaurants. I am trying to learn some Italian but would like to be able to find some places where I can communicate easily if my Italian isn't good enough

Pretty much everywhere speaks enough English for you to order and be understood. I wouldn’t worry too much.

Venice is like every other international tourist city. You won't have a problem.

They tend to have menus in 6+ languages. Don't worry.

Top tips are to eat away from the most crowded spots and always check how much the cover charge is, some places have very hefty per person charges before add any food or drinks. Set menus especially lunch can be better value

Also, you can download the Italian dictionary to Google Translate before you go so you can use it offline.
Then you have got a backup which hopefully should put your mind at rest.
