Going all inclusive - how much cash to budget extra?

Heading on our first AI holiday this year, 2 adults and 3 teens. Planning to just stay in the hotel most of the time, maybe one or two trips but will put them on the credit card and deal with them on return. Approximately how much extra have you spent while on AI? Not buying gifts or going to shop or anything literally going to sunbathe and eat/drink. It is for 10 days.

About £300.

The thing that always costs us the most is food at the airport and on the plane, we were 60euro for burger king at the airport!

We usually go all inclusive.

Generally I only spend on extra sun cream (never take enough) and day trips / excursions. Although these days you can usually book all your excursions before you go.

We're at an AI in Turkey now. Honestly we could easily spend nothing. So far money has been spent on tips, nails for me and DD, shave for DH and spa treatments for me! We visited markets the other day and had lunch out etc. and had to pay for boat to get there.

It is TUrkey we are off to also - Marmaris.

Depends on how nice your hotel is. Is everything included or just house drinks? You may find you want to buy a nicer drink or bottle of wine. You may get bored of the food and fancy something different one night. Or have lunch at a different beach. There could be a beautiful cove around the corner with a lovely fish restaurant you could walk to. You might like to hop on a bus and head into the nearest town. It would be a shame to travel all that way and stay in one spot.

Maybe there will be some activity at the beach like hiring paddle boards or jet skis or those inflatable?

Theres lots of drinks included including coke and fanta so kids happy with that and apparently the beer is not bad and they do cocktails. wine can always be made into a spritzer lol All meals are included including snack/pool bar and ice cream so literally no need to spend on food or snacks at all.

I agree with the people who say you might want to escape. We went with teens last year and after dinner it was nice to go to a bar for a couple of cocktails. Or go and watch the football with some beers

I had £700 for a week, came home with around £400. DH about the same. We had one meal out and a few (5-ish) drinks/ice creams at local bars. One boat trip and we also bought some bits and pieces - balls for the pool, afterbite (!) and the like.

Check for a local tourist tax.

We spent about €50 recently mainly on pool and beach toys. Everything else was included
