Best holiday destination with 7mo

Looking for recommendations on where to go this Sept, dd will be 7mo and must be pram friendly as she'll only nap in the pram!

Don't really want the typical pool/beach destination to laze about all day, we will have to walk her to get her to nap so would like to take advantage and get out and about to explore etc!

Was looking at spain etc but saw a thread on here earlier about lake Garda and got me thinking of alternative places as had never really thought about going somewhere more for us whilst she's little.

Would like somewhere with a short flight and transfer if possible and obv suitable for pram walking. I have a carrier too but she's heavy so don't want to carry the whole time but happy to do bits in carrier!

I took my youngest DC away to Majorca when he was 8 months. He stated crawling the day before we left. The whole holiday was hard work and we didn't return abroad until they could swim and understand instructions.

If you do need to go abroad I would choose accommodation such as a villa rather than hotel. We also stayed in a hotel room so had very few options when my DC was sleeping.

Tbh, the UK really was the best bet. The ability to pack it all in the car and retain some form of routine was far better for us.

None. Stay in the UK.

Oh is it really that bad?! 🙈 we've already been away in the uk this year so was hoping to fit an abroad holiday in before she's walking as thought it would be easier - is it not??

We had a lovely holiday with DD at that age. I must admit we chose somewhere very baby friendly (Caserio del Mirador) and didn’t really leave the place much! So perhaps not what you are looking for but we just wanted everything taken care of.

Contrary to the PP I’d say it’s a great age to take them away, they are fairly robust but not mobile yet.

Do consider heat, anywhere very hot will be no fun unless you intend to be in the pool with her a lot (which is what we did). Lengthy buggy walks with a hot baby will not be fun. Lake Garda might be ok in Sept, but we were there in early June and it was boiling! What about Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Bruges? All fairly buggy friendly I think.

If you do go to Lake Garda then I’d recommend Bardolino as it has a lakeside pedestrian path going south to Lasize and north to Garda. Plus it’s a nice size and flat (unlike many other lake towns).

@minipie that's great Thankyou, have done Copenhagen before but will have a look at the others! Yes I did think it would be easier whist she's not so mobile but thought I must have been mistaken!
Lake Garda looks around 25 for sept so not too bad, not set on there it was just somewhere I saw mentioned on another thread :) will take a look at Bardolino though Thankyou

Completely disagree with the don’t bother/UK only. We took DS all over the world. At 7m we went to Benalmadena in Spain, it’s got a huge promenade along the beach so we could walk for hours and stop off at cafes for a drink/tapas. Easy to get the train into Malaga or could have gone to Ronda. It was fabulous.

Also it was a very short transfer. We stayed in a hotel in a suite type thing so DS could nap and we could move around/watch tv.
